Art Storage Humidification System Case Study

A Sealpump Engineering Case Study

"Art Storage Company Eliminates the Risk of Humidity Damage Using Sealpump Humidity Control System"

Issue:

A company who specialises in the storage and logistics of high value items and luxury goods such as artwork, gold and jewellery were building a new secure storage facility and required closely controlled temperature and humidity levels to be able to guarantee the correct storage environment for their clients.

A lot of the products stored in the facility were susceptible to damage should the humidity not be controlled and either too low or too high humidity would be detrimental to the products. Therefore we were approached to design and install an appropriate humidification system.

Solution:

Anwendungsfoto Corbit+roeasyFollowing a site visit from a Sealpump engineer and discussions with the customer, the Merlin single zone Viscore Humidification system was chosen as the best solution.

The Viscore control unit was supplied with water filtration and the RO-EASY 40 reverse osmosis water treatment unit.

To control and maintain the required relative humidity of 60% rh in the facility which was 3900 sq ft, we selected 3 x wall mounted AER 3 humidification modules, with each module having a humidification capacity of 7.5 litres per hour.

This enabled the environment to be controlled to the correct humidity level and gave the customer and their clients peace of mind that the goods were being stored in the best environment.
